Application and Admissions
The MAS MTEC programme starts once a year in September. Online applications are regularly accepted between January and April. The School for Continuing Education administers the formal application process.

Details
- Make sure that you have all necessary documents ready (see application documents below)
- Submit your online application prior to the deadline via the online application tool eApply
- The School for Continuing Education verifies all applications for completeness and the fulfilment of formal criteria
- The MAS MTEC Programme Management reviews your application and decides whether or not you are a good fit for the programme
- You will receive a letter of admission or rejection by June
Candidates are required to have:
- a degree at the Master's level in a scientific or technical discipline from a university recognised by ETH, or an equivalent educational qualification (a Bachelor's degree might be accepted on presentation of additional qualifications)
- at least 2 years of professional work experience
- good knowledge of English (C2); no formal language certificate is required
Qualified candidates with a comparable education can be admitted “sur dossier” after proving evidence of professional experience and additional qualifications in the required areas. All candidates will go through a selection process that takes into consideration their qualifications and professional experience.
Required application documents:
- Copy of diploma certificate and degree certificate and diploma supplement (in the original language and in D/F/I or E translation) from the highest or most relevant degree
- Copy of passport or identity card. Third-country citizens must submit a scan of their passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months (only the page with photo, name, date of birth, expiry date). CH/EU/EFTA citizens can upload a copy of their valid identity card (front and back) if no passport is available
